1. Who we are
This website, zagaradining.com, is operated by Zagara Dining LLC doing business as Zagara Dining / Zagara Italian Food Experiences (“Zagara,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a private-chef and Italian food experience service based in Orlando, Florida, USA. Questions about this policy can be sent to zagaradining@gmail.com or by phone at 407 955 1145.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit our “Plan Your Experience” planner or contact form, email us, call or text us, or message us on social media, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and preferred contact method;
- Event details such as date, date flexibility, city or ZIP code, estimated guest count, occasion, type of experience, menu and service preferences, estimated event budget, and any notes or messages you include;
- Dietary restrictions and allergy information you choose to share. We use this only to plan and safely prepare your menu.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. This may include your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, links clicked, referring website, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the date and time of your visit. If you arrive from an online ad, we may also record campaign details (such as UTM parameters and the Facebook click identifier, “fbclid”) and Meta browser cookies (“_fbp” and “_fbc”) and attach them to your inquiry so we know which ad brought you to us. We also store your language preference (EN/ES/PT) in your browser.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry, prepare a personalized proposal, and reserve your date;
- To plan, prepare, and deliver your experience, including accommodating dietary needs and allergies;
- To communicate with you about your event by your preferred method;
- To understand how visitors use our website and improve it;
- To measure and improve our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, including showing our ads to people who have visited our website;
- To protect our business, prevent spam or fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
4. Service providers we use
We share information only with service providers that help us run our website and business:
- Formspree processes the forms on our website and delivers your submission to us by email. See the Formspree Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) helps us understand website traffic and which pages and buttons are used, including when a form is submitted. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc., owner of Facebook and Instagram) is a piece of code that records visits to our pages and when an inquiry is submitted (without the contents of your message). This lets us measure our ads, build audiences of past visitors, and show relevant ads. Meta may link this activity to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it as described in the Meta Privacy Policy. We may also send Meta limited information about inquiries, such as hashed (encrypted) email or phone, through Meta's Conversions API to measure ad results.
- Email and communications providers (such as Google Gmail) and our website hosting provider, which store and deliver our communications and website.
Some state privacy laws treat the use of advertising pixels as “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out of this as described in Section 5. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
5. Cookies and your choices
- Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you from using our website or submitting an inquiry.
- Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): manage your Ad Preferences and disconnect activity shared by websites under Your activity off Meta technologies.
- Industry opt-outs: Digital Advertising Alliance WebChoices and Network Advertising Initiative opt-out.
- Do Not Track: our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
- Email: you can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to our message or emailing zagaradining@gmail.com.
6. How long we keep information
We keep inquiry and event information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide our services, and maintain business, tax, and accounting records, generally no longer than 3 years after your last inquiry or event, unless a longer period is required by law. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings and policies of Google and Meta.
7. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, such as secure (HTTPS) connections and access-controlled accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights and requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for advertising measurement, by emailing zagaradining@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws, and we will honor them where they apply.
9. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-party links
Our website links to other sites and platforms, such as Instagram and TikTok. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information.
11. Where we operate
Zagara is based in Florida, United States, and this policy and any related matters are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable U.S. federal law. Information you submit is processed and stored in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., you consent to that transfer.
